"Nonet", a fruity herbal rooibos from Poetic Tea is an all-natural, caffeine-free, remarkably healthy alternative to sugary juices and soda. Combine it with blood oranges, honey, and a sprinkle of cinnamon, and you have a delicious beverage hot or iced. Here’s an easy recipe to enjoy any season and the kids will love it too!
This recipe uses “Nonet”, our organic rooibos blended with apple and papaya pieces, elderberries, red currants, raspberry and strawberry pieces, and hibiscus and sunflower blossoms. Nonet is a flavorful, slightly sweet, lively blend that is naturally decaffeinated and boasts all the health benefits of rooibos, an herbal native to the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa.
To make one large (12 oz) cup or two small (6 oz cups):
1 rounded Tbsp of Nonet (a tropical rooibos blend from Poetic Tea Company)
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 tsp honey
2 thick slices of blood orange (or 1/2 a small orange sliced)
sprinkle of cinnamon (start light — you can always add more)
mint garnish (optional)

Here’s the scoop:
Brewing Your Herbs and Fruit
Bring a cup and a half of cold water to a roaring boil;
Pour water over your herbal blend and orange slices, honey, a dash of cinnamon, and stir;
Steep for five to seven minutes;
Strain with a fine mesh strainer or pour through coffee filter (rooibos is ground);
If needed, add more honey and/or cinnamon to taste;
Top with mint garnish and serve mixed with rinsed blood oranges or garnish with fresh orange cuts.
Pro Tip:
Place all ingredients in a heat safe jar or infuser bottle and pour boiling water over the top. Pop a lid on, refrigerate, and let an overnight infusion extract maximum flavor. Strain and enjoy cold or reheat.
