Our Story
I developed Poetic Tea for my mobile boutique during the summer months of 2019. Poetic Tea seemed to fit right in at local farmers markets and was a nice addition to the narrative-themed gifts I carry in the pop-up boutique. A memorable aspect of preparing for market was coming up with the Free Verse Tea of the Day — creative tea infusions, iced and free for anyone to try. I have always liked tea, but I fell in love with tea by getting creative and experimenting with different blends and infusions. I firmly believe that everyone can find at least one healthy tea infusion that they love (even if they don’t like tea). Today, tea has become my go-to cocktail, my mindful connection to the earth and my body, and a welcome replacement for intoxication.
During the remarkable stillness of the early Covid days, I started building this website and launched a FB group for all things herbal and poetic (please join us if interested). In 2022, I built up enough courage to open a small tea shop and studio in Lakewood, CO under my parent company, The Collective (basically a creative space to house ideas and collaboration). It’s been a journey — full of all the challenges and solutions that make life bloom.
Poetic Tea has not only given me the drive to live with temperance and wholly positive intention, but the inspiration to help others develop a tea drinking experience that encompasses wellness and mindfulness through the powerful combination of intent and gratitude. Only my best energy goes into my teas, herbs, and gifts, and I aspire to make Poetic Tea a positive experience for anyone who receives one of our teas, accessories or gift boxes.
