The Process

Here’s the scoop:

Brew Your Tea

  • Pour a cup and a half of boiling water over a heaping tablespoon of Limerick (Poetic Tea’s organic berry black tea);

  • Add one tablespoon of honey and six blueberries, let steep for five minutes and refrigerate (overnight or for at least an hour).

Prepare Your Boba

  • Bring three cups of water to a boil and add half a cup of boba (black tapioca pearls);

  • Boil until boba floats to the top and reduce heat to medium/medium-low;

  • Set timer for eight minutes and once boba becomes a soft, chewy consistency that you like, strain, stir in one tablespoon of honey, and let boba cool (it’s best to use boba when it’s fresh after cooking, so try to avoid storing it);

  • Add boba to bottom of glass(es) (if you’re making one, a 20oz mason jar or glass with do, and if you’re making two, 10-12oz glasses will do);

  • Top boba with ice;

  • Stain and pour chilled tea over ice and boba, and pour milk over tea (be sure and taste your yummy tea-infused blueberries);

  • Top with fresh blueberries and whipped cream (optional) and serve immediately with wide straws. Enjoy!

Pro Tips:

  • Keep a strong, lightly sweetened, iced berry black tea infusing in the fridge for whenever you might like a boba (or a delicious, refreshing iced tea). Limerick (Poetic Tea’s organic berry black tea) infuses well with other fresh berries too, so feel free to get creative and add strawberries, raspberries and blackberries to your refrigerated tea infusion and add more fresh berries to your boba if you wish as well too.
