When we create something wonderful, we give ourselves the gift of being able to enjoy it.

About The Tercet Tea Gift Box

In poetry, a tercet represents three lines of verse, connected to form a stanza or a complete poem. Due to its rhyme scheme, a tercet emulates a smooth, flowing reading experience and evokes responses that are both cerebral and physical in nature. The goal of the Tercet Tea Box is to awaken the senses by using at least three complementary ingredients to create a smooth and enjoyable sipping experience.

The Tercet Tea Box is the third in a series from Poetic Tea Company and The Narrative Boutique. This gift box is comprised of three small-size, premium loose tea tins, an infuser bottle, a wooden teaspoon, and a gift tag with your optional message. The idea is for the recipient to practice a creative mindset by building tea infusions out of at least three complementary ingredients.

How to Create Tea Infusions

  • Bring fresh, cold water to a boil. Filtered water is best.

  • Measure your tea. Generally, one rounded teaspoon of loose tea per eight ounces of water is ideal, but you may want to adjust for strength preference and tea type.

  • Measure your herbs. If dried, one teaspoon per eight ounces of water works well. If fresh, use two teaspoons per cup of water.

  • Add tea and/or herbs to tea filter. Use a drawstring tea bag or a tea ball or simply place your tea directly into your pot or french press if you plan to pour and strain your infusion.

  • Add dried or fresh fruit and any spices desired.

  • Pour the boiling water over your blend and let sit for 10-15 minutes before straining. Alternatively, you can refrigerate and strain later. Also feel free to prepare your tea as per specific guidelines for tea type and infuse your tea with herbs and fruit after it has brewed and the tea has been removed.

  • Add sweetener if desired when tea is hot and top-off infusion with fresh lemon or milk/froth if appropriate.

There is no limit to the number of infusions you can make. Depending on your preference, some infusions will be loaded with wellness properties; others will be popping with flavor, and yet others will manage to do both. The key is to find what works for you. Get creative and make something wonderful to enjoy!

How to Use a Tea Infuser Bottle

We carry two different eco-friendly infuser bottles — one is a BPA-free double-walled glass bottle and the other is a stainless steel bottle with a bamboo shell. Both hold approximately 15 ounces of liquid.

To use your glass infuser bottle, add your tea, herbs, and/or fruit to the bottom chamber of the tea strainer. Twist gently back on to upper chamber and push into your bottle until it clicks into place. Add your water so that it covers your tea, and either brew for the desired time and enjoy immediately, or put directly in the fridge. Note that you can remove the strainer/infuser contraption or simply drink through the attached strainer.

To use your bamboo infuser bottle, either throw your tea/herbs/fruit in the bottom of the bottle and click your strainer in place to drink through once brewed, or put your ingredients in the strainer and remove once your infusion has reached your taste preference. This bottle can also go directly in the fridge after the boiling water’s be poured.

To clean your bottle, use a gentle dish soap and bottle brush with warm water. Rinse and air dry.
